For high school students, college fairs are often the first taste of the college admission experience. It is an event in which college admission representatives come together at a school, community-gathering place or large convention centre to meet one-on-one with high school students and parents. Each college represents themself at a small exhibition with tables, roll-ups and flyers. The representatives answer questions regarding the application or to college life itself. Depending on the area, there could be dozens of schools or hundreds of different institutions there with representation. Participants can gather material from different schools and ask as many questions as they want, making the decision about which college to apply to easier.
