U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

The research component in the program is structured in such a way to prepare the student for planning and implementing the final research paper. It involves the study of theoretical and practical courses, developing research skills, assist students in developing relevant research methods and developing research interests. The inclusion of a research component starts from the very first course and is being deepened over the years and ends with the completion of the sixth year by the research project. Students should present the scientific research project in the last semester.
