U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

Research profile of the course includes the discipline- and geographical area- approaches. The “discipline”- approach is attempted to find out the particular concerns or problems those relevant to the 5 majors of the course, for example Development of geomorphometric characteristics for fish stock identification. Meanwhile, the geographical area- approach is due to the fact that the university locates in the biodiversity-rich and tropical agriculture hotspot as the Lower Mekong Basin. The example of highlight research works are Reconstruction of the migratory routes of the Mekong fishes.

Microbiology is of growing importance in science, medicine, industry, environment and agriculture.Microbiology is the study of the biology of microscopic organisms - bacteria, algae, fungi, and virus. Microbiology is therefore also an applied science, helping health and medicine through the study of pathogens, their epidemiology, and resistance to antibiotics. Microorganisms are also widely used in the agriculture, food and environment industries, for instance in oil spill clean-up. Through this degree programme, you will develop knowledge and understanding of microbiology.

Blended teaching both on-site and online with a student-centered focus and train students to think critically and solve problems.Course coordinators may invite guest lecturers when necessary, pending approval of the program committee. General advisors or program committee provide a suggestion to the first-year students on study plan and course registration. Once the thesis proposals are approved, research advisors are appointed to provide guidance on thesis works.

This program consists of major study areas such as structural engineering, soil mechanics and foundation engineering, hydraulics and hydrology, highway, transportation and construction engineering. This focuses on design, construct, maintain, and operate infrastructures such as buildings, roads, foundations, channel and water supply networks. The program will feature a mixture of lectures and lab work. The computer aided design is also included. There will also be an emphasis on working within a team in project works, as this is considered a key skill for pursuing civil engineering careers.

This course offers advanced engineering principles and leadership best practices including structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resources engineering, construction management and transportation engineering. The application of technical skills and engineering principles to develop new innovations or approaches is one of the main aspects. As civil engineering reaches from the natural environment to the constructed environment, therefore the interactions between the two, with an emphasis on sustainability are also interested. This provides greater proficiency.
