The Faculty is structured in 6 teaching units, one in the Campus de Bellaterra, where preclinical courses and five teaching units Hospital where clinical courses are held in the cities of Barcelona, Badalona and Sabadell are taught. At the same time, the Faculty has established;Facultad de Biociencias:The Faculty of Biosciences of the Autonomous University of Barcelona is a pioneer in our country in the implementation of various studies related to the different fields of Life Sciences and their applications, being the first Spanish university to offer a degree in Biotechnology. Currently, the Faculty offers degrees on Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Environmental Biology, Genetics, Microbiology and Biomedical Sciences, and various postgraduate programs that allow students to obtain a solid formation in the field of research as in the industry and health.

The faculty is related to 11 departments, and has 44 research groups in health sciences and 32 experimental research groups. The faculty works closely with high level medical research centers: Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedicine (IBB), Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences of Catalunya (ICCC), Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), Research Institute of the Hospital de Sant Pau;Facultad de Biociencias:The UAB acts as a quarry of quality researchers and a center for the transmission of knowledge and technologies in society, and is internationally recognized for its research. The UAB Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is the first in Catalonia and one of the pioneers in the training of this discipline in Spain. It is recognized by the European Association of Veterinary Education Institutions (EAEVE) and considered one of the best in Europe for its contribution to the knowledge and development of this discipline. It has first-class infrastructures and services for training in animal and food science, which allows students to carry out their theoretical and practical training in state-of-the-art facilities in the exercise of the veterinary profession.
