U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

The current economic situation is threatening the sustainability of the universal public health care system as we know it today, and hence the concern by health care managers, public administrators, and politicians who perceive the risk to a model that is highly beneficial and a cornerstone of what has been defined as the welfare state. Most experts argue the need for changes to make the current model sustainable, aimed at improving the health system's efficiency, and even assessing structural measures that with more or less effort would contribute to the consolidation of the health model.
